Age regression as a coping mechanism for PTSD

does anyone else age regress to deal with their PTSD? I've been doing it for the past few years and I never felt strange or embarrassed by it, but I don't know alot of people around me who find the coping mechanism helpful.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that I age regress but I definitely tend to go to things that the younger version of myself would enjoy or spend money like I’m a kid sometimes just getting some things that would be fun to mess around with even if they’re made for kids.

Yes all the time, and I too often feel embarrassed, I’ve found it’s best to imagine a younger me and telling them it’s okay to do what they like
