Is Age Regression a Safe Coping Mechanism?

It can be dangerous around the wrong ppl, hi I also age regress due to trauma and strictly in a nonsexual way, but it seems like you are safe around your person so there's really not an issue that I could see, some ppl are mean but it will be ok, I've found agre to be very healing for my inner child

There is not harm in this as long as you are feeling safe and cared for! It can be very healing for your inner child and help with PTSD

I've discussed something similar with my therapist. personally I find myself at ease around swingsets but i worry that it comes off weird to say that I regress back to a childlike wonderment but it isn't shameful. if anything it's just your natural instinct to gravitate towards what comforts you and if it seems childlike that may just indicate a lack of comfort in your childhood that you're compensating for now.

As long as you are in a sage environment, it's totally okay. I age regress too!
