Has anyone had Bariatric Surgery to help with AFib?

Ive had AFib for about 10 years and I'm 58. I've been taking Rhythmol but recently, my cardiologist put me on a heart monitor for a month, and said that so times I was in active AFib for hours at a time. Now I also take Eloquis and they will be doing an ablation next month.. My cardiologist referred me to a Bariatric Surgeon because she said if I can like at least 50 lbs that would help reduce the severity of my AFib. I weigh 210 lbs, and she wants me at 150. My question is, has anyone else ever had Bariatric Surgery to help with AFib? I will be getting a Gastric Sleeve ..

Be careful about getting bariatric surgery. Look into it from people that have had it. Many many people really regret doing it because it causes a lot of side effects. A doctor told me to get it and after really looking into it, I decided that the dangers far outweighed the supposed benefits.
