I did not realize how badly I was afraid of storms until the only think I could think to do, after my body woke me up right before loud ass thunder, was sit in the middle of the living room because it's away from windows.

I hide in my hallway with a blanket and I live in storm alley thankfully I haven't seen a tornado yet
I have the same issue. I usually take a couple of blankets and sit in my bathtub if it’s dry because my parents used to make me do that in bad storms. If you have decent headphones, putting those on and blasting good music helps.

@ISFP It’s really safe because there are metal pipes running up the walls in there. Unfortunately for some reason there is literally a window in my shower in my current house but I covered it with a heavy duty tarp
