Advocating for Myself: Fighting for a Diagnosis

Is it normal to have to constantly fight your doctor for a diagnosis? i feel like I'm the only one advocating for myself. it's definitely disheartening.

EDSzebra is absolutely right. I would keep going to other doctors until you can find one who adheres to your needs and actually listens. I was ( formally ) diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a rheumatologist. It took nearly 2 years for me, but I finally got the answers I needed! Good luck to you! ❤️

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It, unfortunately, is SO common and something that nearly every person with a chronic illness has battled. I’d suggest seeing different doctors, if possible. Also, researching for yourself and providing them articles/data to support your suggestions is helpful. I hope you find the help you deserve asap 😊
