Advice for Dealing with Migraines?

Hey all, I've been having migraines for quite a while so far but I haven't undergone any special tests or seen a specialist. Any advice for those who have experience with migraines?

Diet is #1. But some people just don't are to be on a specific diet. Then there are different meds you can take. Stronger ones than just advil or ibuprofen. I used to just pop those like candy. I can't remember the names unfortunately.

I drink more water than I do eat. Unfortunately I eat what I can afford but I have at least really 3 healthy meals a week.

OTC just doesn't cut it anymore between my deteriorating back and migranes. I just need to learn some kind of relief on my own since I can't seem to get a doctor to actually help me yet. Still trying.

Have you seen a neurologist

Yes. I've been seeing him for my neuropathy and frontal lobe dysfunction. But he's many miles away so I can't regularly see him now because of gas prices. We've discussed migrane but my orthopedic doctor suggested we treat the impingement in my neck to see if it's the cause. So far it seems unlikely. I know I might have to suck it up and get out to my neurologist. There aren't many medical options near me.
