Adjusting to My New Hearing Aids: Seeking Advice

Just got my first pair of hearing aids today, which is definitely a mental adjustment. I’m feeling a mixture of relief, excitement, fear and anxiety. But, I also have a specific question. I had to get my ears cleaned out 2 weeks ago because there was too much wax to see my eardrum or do my hearing test. Fast forward to now. The times that I’ve pulled my hearing aids out today, they’ve already got decent amount of wax on them. Also, the hearing aid specialist said my left ear looked kind of full today, and my left ear hurts a little behind the piece near the canal. Anyone got any thoughts, comments or recommendations?
