Adjusting to Life After Kidney Transplant and PD

@Dimp firstly *hugs* I understand the brain fog and depression when transitioning and adjusting to dialysis. Is your catheter temporarily on your chest until your fistula matures? did they ever speak to you about PD? hang in there… 💗

Dimp the depression comes in waves for me it's truly okay to not be okay. Be sure to talk to your doctors about it that was helpful. I was pushing myself to get back to normal then I had to realize this is my new normal.

Hello I'm new to dialysis on been about 4 months I was in a brain fog for 3 months due to covid in December woke up on dialysis its very hard for me.to wrap my head around this it seems like my life.is wrap around dialysis Mon Wed Friday I'm ashamed to go.around people because my Cather is in my chest in plain view has anyone experienced depression?

Hi. how is work? or travel? I hear on PD or even Hemo you can travel anywhere in the world. I have started PD about 6 weeks ago and I’m going back to work this week. I was used to working and traveling with my kidney transplant…

and you can still do stuff. Traveling for me I just like to do manuals. If you want the machine cause you'll be gone for a while it's best to let your clinic know so they can send your supplies. Honestly I feel like I can still do EVERYTHING.
