ADHD vs Autism: Has anyone experienced misdiagnosis?

Ive heard that theres a very thin line between ADHD and autism. Has anyone here believed they had one, then found out they actually had the other? Or both?

So I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD but I’m starting to think I was misdiagnosed and that I’m actually autistic I haven’t yet started trying to figure that mess out as I know it’s hard to find someone to diagnose autism in adults

Yeah so we are pretty certain that while we also have ADHD, we should have also been diagnosed with Autism. Additionally, we're also currently wondering if our tics are a result of a certain form of Autism, rather than Tourettes. ( - Rosie )

I have heard that autism, ADHD, and OCD are all under the same “umbrella.” Makes sense to me because I find some overlapping symptoms in myself with all of these things.

fun fact! there are no overlapping symptoms between adhd and autism according to the dsm 5 but adhd and autism are 60-80 co-morbid
