Struggling with ADHD and Socializing

I have a major problem focusing because of my ADHD. Some days are good, but others are so bad i have no idea what’s going on in my own head. I’ve found a few things that work, but not all the time. Sometimes it’s worse for the people around me than it is for me. I’m always hyper and loud, most of the time i don’t even notice it. It’s hard for me to connect sometimes because everyone just thinks i’m annoying because i talk to much.

Can you help? connect today

This is the most relatable post I’ve seen so far. I don’t really have any advice I just deeply relate.

Depending what you try, you may have to change what you do and try something new. I listen to music or I play with my crystal bracelets. But now that I work I usually walk around my register and wait for customers or I end up cleaning my area because I have to keep my mind focused. I hope this kinda helps you get an understanding 😅. I’m bad with explaining things over comments instead of person. But I wish you all the best of coping with it. (I’ve had it for about 5 years and I’ve had to change my routine to fit what was best for my mood that day)

Totally me. I love hearing about hyperactivity from women with ADHD. I’m medicated and still want to scream anytime someone tells me slow down and be more mindful.

i hate being told to slow down! i move a lot faster than the people around me, and my brain works a lot faster too. why is that an issue for literally everyone? It’s not our fault. we are both with a “condition” that makes us do this.

Right! Like speed up. I’m speaking with diction so just get used to it. This is my courtesy speed I’m not going slower.

they expect us to slow down for them, but they never bother to speed go for us.
