I'm an ADHDer that wasnt diagnosed until adulthood. A major symptom that's always freaked me out of memory. I know people joke about forgetting things when they walk into a room but for me in can be mid conversation. I have no idea what I was going to say and absolutely NO recall ability. Does anyone else have trouble with this? It makes me look crazy. Especially in job interviews or when discussing really important issues. Is this normal for anyone else?

I have the same problem, usually when I'm stressed out, but not always. I can be talking about something and forget what I was talking about in the same moment. It's so freaky, but you have to try not to panic because that makes it worse.š¤

Oh yes, I do this all the time. Iāll be talking to somebody, then I pause because I had no idea what Iām responding to, or where I was going with this. Iāve completely lost track of the conversation, and forgot what weāre talking about. You are totally not alone.

For the forgetting objects, look up object permanence issues. Forgetting something because you don't visually see it anymore is pretty common with ADHD. For people that forget names or don't understand when people ask them questions, a common symptom with ADHD is auditory processing disorder. Basically, you hear the words but your brain takes longer to process them. It feels like you didn't hear them at first, but in the middle of them repeating themselves a lot of times you'll process what they said the first time and be able to respond.
i have this sometimes, but my partner experiences it probably more than i do (also diagnosed) & it's such a pain!!
Yes I also do this and the same thing when someone is talking to me asking me questions and I forget half the things they told me or asked me and then I feel bad. Not a very productive conversation
Yes, I have the same thing! I joke that my thoughts are racing so fast they literally fly out of my head lmao. I find that talking with my hands or doing repetitive motions that somewhat describe what I'm doing helps with remembering!
