Do I Have to Take ADHD Meds for Life?

I have severe adhd…so I basically have to take meds for the rest of my life?

If that is what helps you and lets you live to the fullest then it could be. I’m no professional but there are therapies and other methods of coping if you’re not fond of taking meds all the time. It really just comes down to preference. I was basically raised in an environment that reinforced behaviors that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) would have normally implemented. But not everyone has that home life. I would recommend to look at how your adhd is affecting you now and discussing what is reasonable with a psychiatrist. Hope this helped.
