what adhd medications did you find helped? I'm newly diagnosed and curious on what I should be discussing with my Dr at today's appointment.

I've been in Strattera for awhile. When I first took it, it worked wonders. 6 years later and higher doses it doesn't seem as effective any longer

Oh this makes me a bit nervous! I'm on a high dose of Strattera to start with, for the last 2 years. I hope it doesn't lose effectiveness for me as well! How long ago do you think you noticed it losing power?

Just recently but I am under a bit of extra stress. I have my wedding in a few months. That could be part of the issue. I'm on 80 mg

I've been on 20 mg of Ritalin LA for about 5 yrs now. It's made a huge difference for me. I'm much easier to get along with and I can even stand to be around myself lol. Plus so far it has not been hit with the shortage that Adderall has been hit with, so there's a bonus.

Adderall has been life changing for my son. He has intellectual disabilities, Autism, and severe adhd. From ages 1-5 he was completely non verbal, a danger to himself, and a flight risk. The psychiatrist gave him adderall and it was like a miracle. He calmed down, started talking, he started school and now my boy is 18 years old and getting ready to graduate high school. He’s never been on any other medication so I have nothing to compare it too but this one worked

Hi, personally try deit control first, both myself and my son have this i was deit controlled from 4yrs old via a study group through a hospital. Its not easy but is worth it, and have foundd when really needed the drugs seem to work better we also found that we still to watch what we ae even on the drugs. Must say it was easier to do than now aday due to the food having so meven addatwes in them now. Also write a diary of what you ate and how you felt mood and energy wise then you can find your trigger foods.

I was put on Adderall and so far it is working. I was told there was a shortage and I would have to call around different pharmacies. I was lucky to get some with the first place I called but I may not be as lucky next month.

unfortunately that shortage is still an issue thanks to the FDA. There are certain strengths that are more available than others. XR 20 is the one that is the most on shortage.

Oh I did not know that. I had to experience the shortage first hand yesterday so I understand now. I had to call multiple places and drive 45 minutes each way to get it. But I forgot to take it the other day and I realized just how bad I was before. It like wearing glasses and then you take them off at the end of the day and remember how blind you are.
