Vyvanse is considered one of the smoothest stimulant meds but it's newer so insurance companies don't always cover it.

if you were overstimulated, you may need to be on lower doses. some stims are better than others, and it tends to be a subjective experience. different for everyone.

Wellbutrin is also popularly prescribed for ADHD, often times paired with other meds.

I second Strattera. I'm 30 and I've been on it since I was 12. No issues, just bad migraines for the first couple of weeks when I first started taking it. Personally, I avoid stimulants because addiction is a strong trait in my genetics.

i personally use caffine to medicate because it provides just the right amount of stimulation but that may not be possible for everyone

I have no idea if it’s going to be of any help, but I just ordered pine bark extract for various reasons, one of them being my adhd symptoms. It sounds kooky but it has a decent basis of research that suggests it may help with the brain fog. I’ll try my best to remember to let you know how it works out! But no guarantees since… ya know… adhd.
