I’ve been doing a ton of research on ADHD because I wanted to quit my medication. I found out something so incredibly helpful so I hope it can help someone too! Most of the time, people who have adhd are constantly seeking dopamine. Every activity, job and task need to have a dopamine factor otherwise you lose interest and start thinking of other things. I think the world has put us in this “you have something wrong with you category” but truthfully, we just aren’t going after the things in life that we want to seek/do. We are doing what is either expected or what we deem appropriate. I have been off medication for 2 months now (there is no actual “fix” in medication, remember that) , I quit my job that was draining me, dropped friends who drained me, and I’m starting over. Clean slate - it’s been fun getting to know myself again.
