Struggling with my ADHD-C diagnosis

I just got diagnosed with ADHD-C. I'm not sure what to make of my diagnosis. I posted about it online and people are saying "congrats!" or "me too!" and I don't think I feel as liberated with my diagnosis like other people do. I feel upset and ashamed.

I completely understand where you're coming from, but don't be so hard on yourself. You can be upset or ashamed as much as you'd like, but it's not going to made it go away Rather try to use your diagnosis as a tool to better understand your brain. It's hard and it will take a lot of work to get a grip of, but you can most definitely do it! Best of luck.

Hi hunny. I understand that a new diagnosis can be very challenging when I was diagnosed I was overwhelmed and ashamed but I feel kind of relieved to know that I was acting the way I do because of adhd. People who say "me to!" Like its not big deal probably self diagnosed themselves. It will take time for u to realize what triggers u and what helps you. You got this!! We are here for you!
