I finally got my ADHD diagnosis. It's been a long time coming. they kept on wanting to blame my other conditions. Anyway, I started Atomoxetine this morning.

      @thisladyisacat Dang! I've heard that borderline personality disorder is also a common misdiagnosis for ADHD, especially with women

      I skimmed your profile. What condition were they blaming it on? They blamed mine on my intracranial hypertension (sister disease to hydrocephalus) and my MS.

      Heya, welcome to the club! They tried to blame my ADHD symptoms on anxiety, depression, and hypothyroidism. From what I’ve seen it’s a pretty common experience. But as long as you hit turf diagnosis it doesn’t matter what else that doctor says. You know you, you know your brain. Good luck on your new meds! 🤗

      first they tried blaming my anxiety and then it was the hydrocephalus 😪

      Welcome to the club! 🤗 I was misdiagnosed with bi-polar disorder for years before they caught on I was never manic. 😭 I'm so sorry your other illnesses were used to deny you your diagnosis, but it's here now! There is a lot of information available, but if you need a little laugh or pick-me-up, Instagram and TikTok have some great content for ADHD.
