Could my depression and anxiety be symptoms of undiagnosed ADHD?

I’ve have this hypothesis for a while now that I may have a form of ADHD (inattentive ADHD) since a lot of symptoms match up more accurately, so is possible that I may have been misdiagnosed with depression and anxiety when it could be symptoms of inattentive adhd that I relate too more?

comorbidity is common. I think a lot of my anxiety and depression stems from not being diagnosed with adhd for so long and feelings of shame from not understanding why i couldn't do things right or id be so unable to focus in class it was literally painful and id start getting anxious. for me the adhd diagnosis felt like everything falling in to place and making sense finally but i definitely still have anxiety attacks if i cant focus and depressive episodes because i hyperfocus on my shortcomings

is comorbidity just a combination of a form of adhd + mental illness or different types of adhd combine Bc I saw that was a thing

comorbidity is when you have multiple diagnoses at once. most people with adhd have at least one other mental illness. there’s a big possibility your adhd and how it effects/effected your life has influenced or worsened your depression and anxiety. its worth getting evaluated, i’ve heard so many times of how treatment for adhd vastly improved depression and anxiety

treatments can be medications (usually stimulants like adderall), cognitive behavioral therapy, and figuring out the best ways to work around and with your ADHD (ways of organizing, planning, time management, etc that are effective specifically for people with ADHD). i also know that some people, when they find out that their “failures/laziness/deficits” are because of ADHD, and not because they are simply a bad/stupid/lazy person, it helps with self confidence, depression, anxiety, etc. check out r/ADHD on reddit, and How to ADHD on youtube if you’re looking for those aforementioned ways to work with/around it :)
