I am a dental hygienist and I love BURST electric toothbrush. This is a link that gives you my professional discount. They are $80+ at Walmart but this link brings it down to $40. They have fluorinated toothpaste and non. Strawberry doesn’t have fluoride but it has nano-hydroxyapatite (does the same thing as fluoride) 🪥🦷 https://www.burstoralcare.com?coupon_code=XMPHQJ

yeah I def feel that, and what makes it worse for me is knowing that you shouldn't rinse right away with fluoride toothpaste bc it needs to sit on your teeth. so what I do is alternate between fluoride and non fluoride toothpaste depending on how I feel that day

Same here! I want to have a clean mouth and I hate having bad breath but it's such a struggle to brush my teeth and I don't know why

Non foaming toothpaste helped me a lot because there’s less texture to deal with

I do too. I have someone else brush my teeth or I only use water. Sometimes mouthwash is acceptable or I just chew gum. Good luck finding something that works for you. /g

I struggled sooo much with brushing my teeth until last week when I finally found a system that fully works around my sensory issues. I found a completely unflavored and non-foaming toothpaste and use very cold water to distract my senses as much as possible. I also found an autism-targeted toothbrush that is very soft and 3 sided to completely surround the teeth and reduce the amount of time it takes to brush.

I'd be interested to look at that toothbrush!

I also hate it. I had to come up with hacks to make it more tolerable, like, I break it into quadrants only brushing one area at a time and spitting in between to reset the sensory hell.
