New to the Group: Living with Type 1 Diabetes on a Cattle Ranch

Hi there! I'm new here, Just trying to find a place where I can find individuals like me and feel supported. This sort of thing is new to me so I don't really know what to expect. A bit about me. I live on a cattle ranch in Colorado and I have had type 1 diabetes for nearly 22 years. I have struggled to say the least. Life where I live isn't always easy but I love where I am. I love my boyfriend who is a firefighter and is gone for long periods at a time. He has been gone a month fighting wildland fires. I am so proud of him, worried too and I have mental health issues so it's tough being separated so long. Can anyone relate to my situation? I'd like to hear anyone's stories and if anyone has advice about success in maintaining healthy bloodsugar levels I'd be grateful for that as well.
