Adding a Second Dose of Cymbalta: Success Stories?

Anyone had success adding a second dose of cymbalta daily? If so, equal dose or smaller?

I started with 30 and added another 30. I take 60 at night. It’s been a lot better than being on lexapro. I still have self-harming thoughts (it’s never gone past that btw) but it happens a lot less and in a stressful domestic situation right now and it’s really helped keep me coping healthily

I’m taking 30mg in the morning and 30mg at night. It’s working pretty well. Depression has lessened a bit

, do you think taking 2 doses is better than taking it all at once? My PCP will not prescribe a second antidepressant to take along with the cymbalta, but added 30 for me to take at night. I have been taking the 60 each morning. I think it is helping, but was wondering what you think and if that’s the reason your doses are split and if your doctor had ideas on this.

I was first prescribed 10mg and that was good for a long while. I noticed that I needed a little more to feel my normal. I went back to my doctor and requested an increase to my prescription. I take now 45mg. I do feel better without any side effects. I do think that increasing your dose can help. Only you know yourself better than anyone. It would be better to get an increase in your prescription dose than just taking an extra one so you don’t run out. I hope this helps and best of luck to you!
