I started drinking and drugs when I was 11, i had severe brain damage as well as mental and learning issues, my dad was always working and never around, my mom has personality disorders and substance abuse issues, was in an out of the hospital, spent a year in an abusive rehab at 14 that is now being sued (did more harm than good but I met some amazing people that I still have in my life) got expelled from middle school and high school for drugs, still eventually graduated tho, broke my back falling off a roof on drugs, got abused, went to some more hospitals, got diagnosed w schizophrenia and gave up on everything, overdosed on laced pills and was legally dead for 8 minutes before one of the EMS convinced them to give me a 4th thing of Narcan and I came back to life, still didn’t learn, almost died again and then got in legal trouble for it and finally realized that i was in over my head and had nowhere to go but up. now after all that crazy shit i’m finally trying to get better. i haven’t done drugs in a long time haven’t drank in over 2 months and don’t plan on it anymore. it’s a work in progress but so far that’s the only thing i’m doing right so i’ll just keep doing it.

I got sober after an injecting mishap nearly cost me my arm in 2010. After a fasciotomy, pain so intense ketamine just dulled it and 12 months physio my hand is still a bit dodgy and I have a scar from my palm to my elbow. That was the day that changed everything.
