Adderall not working anymore, what should I do?

has anyone ever dealt with adderall not working anymore? i even went off of it for a while and started concerta but back on adderall due to that failing and im just so confused. like it used to make me focus so well and it honestly made me feel really really happy while i was on it and now its exhausting cause my adhd seems to be getting worse. i also have worried abt being misdiagnosed as i haven’t heard others (that actually have adhd) say they felt euphoric on it but i have had all the adhd symptoms my entire life.

I have read of issues of Adderall lowering the baseline dopamine in the brain over long term use, which is seemingly what causes tolerance to it. It may be good to switch over to something completely different?

My 60mg is hardly working. I don't have much options anymore. Doctors are so afraid to prescribe higher dosages. It sucks!

yeah, im hoping thats it! thank you!! its just hard to get certain meds cause they aren’t preferred by my insurance so they don’t wanna cover it lol

perhaps a different type of med might help? such as a different ADHD med (I think Wellbutrin and Ritalin are examples of that)

Has your prescriber tried upping dose or changing like from xr to non xr or combining that in appropriate doses, etc?
