I actually am having this problem right now. Woke up with acid reflux and can't get it to go away. The only things that helped was drinking milk and laying on my left side maybe try that

Omeprezole does wonders if you take it consistently. I take 40mg daily for my EOE and I rarely have acid reflux flareups anymore either. It’s OTC too so no prescription or anything.

I get acid reflux a lot, especially after I get sick. After I'm sick I try to stay on a mild diet and I drink chamomile tea which helps a bit. Eating plain foods like toast or plain rice helps me.
