I presented with seizures & trouble speaking. I was sedated HEAVILY & was simply discharged. I could have been thrown into a coma… My diagnosis that day: mental health issue. I was not taken seriously at all. 😣 Thank goodness I had a support system who advocated for me! I was later hospitalized at another facility & diagnosed with myxedema crisis & Hashimoto’s. I am currently being treated & recovering! This is a life-threatening, rare condition that needs to be taken seriously!!
