Do you feel like a different person than you once were before “this”? I don’t know if it’s the symptoms… or lasting side effects of the meds… or something else, but I haven’t felt like myself since my symptoms onset and have felt a significant shift most recently. Other people who have known me for decades comment that I’m not myself… Anyone relate?

Oh my lanta, yes! I’ve been thinking about this quite frequently! I miss the days when I was a child and didn’t have to worry about being so sick all of the time! It’s been really hard! 💕

I’ve been symptomatic of endo for over 50% of my life now, so to be honest I don’t remember who I was before. However, it gave me the opportunity to redefine myself and I’m happy with who I am now

The only thing people have mentioned to me is the side effects of pain meds, like being tired etc. But honestly I've been sick almost my entire life (since I was 7). It shaped me a little bit to be even more empathetic than I already was. No major changes though.
