Hi all, I'm genderfluid and just this last July lost my transgender husband of 7 years to a long battle with Interstitial lung disease. We were a pansexual polyamorous couple and we're dating my best friend and a alter of mine. My husband left behind 3 partners. Myself, our girlfriend, and our alter boyfriend. We're finally after being homeless after all this- moving into a new place. We've had so much help from so many amazing people. HUD, churches, and even a therapy place have made this all possible! This new place is everything my husband and all of us had dreamed of. He just... isn't here and it's hurting us 3 so much... We're down just to my disability while our girlfriend struggles and fights to get on her own disability. So we are on a super super tight budget constantly. So my question is- how do you make a memorial for someone in a new home on a tiny budget?

Maybe you can put a picture of him in a frame, and put candles around it and burn his favorite incense.

Also polyamorous here. I'm very sorry for your loss. I don't have any experience making memorials, but thank you for sharing your story with us. If you ever need somebody to talk to don't hesitate to reach out ❤️
@coder87 Thank you for that!
I’m very sorry to hear that God bless you and your family

im so sorry for your loss. i think incense would be a lovely way to have him occupy your home still. you know, the smoke wandering through your new space and all ❤️ maybe you can use a photo and dedicate a small space in your new place to him and place things that make you think of him - like trinkets or a favorite item/album/souvenir
@PeppermintAnn That's actually a great idea! Thank you so much for that!
I just wanted to speak with others who had medical issues and were disabled on a low income for ideas. Never hurts.
I like to think incense is nice to honor someone. Maybe something with a favorite color. Eat favorite food. Listen to favorite music.... off the to pop my head
@KittyRosa I also like the idea of sharing fond memories and favorites times you spent together. Sharing of inside jokes with explanation is nice. Doing anything that represent something about them or they did. Sorry for your loss but also xongrsts on the new place
@KittyRosa Thank you, for the ideas and my husband was obsessed with incense and used to have a vast collection.
