hey uhh for anyone who has to avoid grapefruit because of antidepressants or beta blockers, are grapefruit essence and grapefruit juice the same? And does anyone know if grapefruit essence has the same affect on medications grapefruit juice can't mix with

I'm 100% behind Wheelie on this, check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. But I believe it's something to do with the citric acid (Oranges are also supposed to be avoided) making it less effective if that's any help. So if you're using the essence in food I'd imagine it's the same thing unless it's synthetic. 😔
