Because I think it's a literal crime against humanity that these things aren't provided with 8 billion people on the planet and enough money to fund wars on every square inch of it.

And I spent this whole week gathering resources and doing legwork to get ready to start a 501c3 to stock and distribute Narcan to the public at events like summer festivals coming up, and bars. Almost every state has a Standing Order currently to allow distribution of Narcan to the public without pre-auth at any pharmacy. Most places got grants to send thousands of dollars worth of Narcan kits to certain sites in each locale to provide them cost-free to ANYONE even without insurance. The manufacturer has info and pdf downloads of a "coupon" to show the pharmacist if theyre unaware and a copy of the statute itself. Now is the perfect time to push awareness and get folks to go get at least one dose, as the more that are picked up the more justifiable continuing the grant looks to the Powers That Be. Eventually we'd like to bond a brick and mortar and provide a safe space(s), hypos, and cleanup supplies for folks to do what they gotta do safely, knowing there will be someone right there with antidotes if the worst happens. I'll be posting about this in SUD soon. I want this project de-centralized and copycatted everywhere. It coincides with another NP project I've wanted to start since I was 15: to collect supplies and donations to distribute toiletries like toothpaste, floss, toothbrushes, mouthwash, TP, feminine products of choice, alcohol/peroxide/chlorhexidine/bactine, bandages, gauze, & co-wrap to anyone with a State ID. To be allowed for pickup once a week or month, depending on the product, and process the logs anonymously through a crypto ledger. Then expand that to a significant portion of the products going to homeless in particular.
