Losing My Best Friend Hurts More Than A Breakup

I just lost one of my closest friends as well the past year. She wouldn’t stop talking about her bf and never asked about my life anymore and then suddenly she became obsessed with him and contact stopped between us. It’s definitely heart breaking. I think about her a lot still it really does feel like a betrayal and breakup. It’s so hard to make friends as an adult it really hits hard when you lose someone. I hope that you find some peace and comfort in your life soon no matter the outcome. Take care of yourself and know you’ll find someone you will connect with like this again someday

Happened to me too, we were really close I made a mistake last time we hung out she didn't tell me instead she ghosted me after 4 months I texted her she told me everything, her ma hates me I upset her she made new friends, I just accepted it and moved on I told her I'm proud you made new friends I'm sorry I hurt you and that your parents disapprove of me, I hope life treats you well, she was upset that I wanted closure but accepted it as it is and we parted ways nuterally, with that small vent it might be time to part ways friends even the best of them part ways, it creates growth you'll find someone more on your level who doesn't seem to be acting that theu care and won't ghost you or act weird, so talk with her see what's up and figure out if it's worth fixing or not <3

I lost my best friend who is also my cousin 4 years ago and my.heart breaks everyday he just stopped talking to.me and blocked me on everything out of no where. Ik it was because his wife hates me. But dammit my heart is still broken over it. Now if I see him or his wife somewhere i just get full of rage 😤

I lost my best friends for about two years and it was the worst pain I've ever felt. We eventually reconnected and acknowledged that nobody was to blame. They were struggling with issues too and it wasnt working out. I'm not saying you'll reconnect with your friend too, but know that you're not to blame here. It probably had everything to do with herself and not about you, not in a selfish way, but for both of your benefits. Not sure if I'm wording any of this well, but yeah

the same thing happened to me a few years ago. people don't talk about how bad friendship breakups are!! what helped me is remembering that you can't let yourself be defined by words that came from a place of hurt. your mind is just amplifying the bad parts of whatever happened. you might've hurt them but you also brought them friendship. you're not all bad or all good, be patient and forgiving with yourself
