Hey, I'd like any responses rn. Advice, reassurance, anything. I recently got my dosage of sertraline increased and it's not going well. I'm having a lot of mood swings and a lot of anxiety attacks and possibly two meltdowns. One of them happened at school last week in the lunch room in front of a lot of people. It was actually terrifying. It keeps popping up in my mind. I'm genuinely so scared for school tomorrow, especially since the side effects of the meds have been making me very energetic AND high anxiety at the same time, which is making me very impulsive and irritable. I'm scared I'll do something wrong, I'm scared I'll freak out and something horrible will happen. I don't know what to do. I don't know where to go or who to talk to, because I know every staff member at the school probably hates me more than any other student. I know I'm not, I know it's just the effects of the meds and my anxiety, but I feel like I'm insane

Hey I felt this exact way on sertraline. It is probably not your type of medication. Call your doctor and request to get off it immediately. Sertraline is a 50/50 with people. You're in the 50, like me, where it makes everything worse. Talk to a counselor at school or if you have one out of school that's even better. I promise you school counselors will not hate you for asking for help. But try to get off those meds ASAP, but only before talking to your doctor. Mention Prozac, it ended up working really well for me, hopefully it will for you too. Hope this helps ❤️
