Meds that really help me is Sertraline and the generic for Abilify. I like my primary care provider but I don't see her very often. I see my psychiatrist more often for about 6 minutes a session. I think Cognitive behavioral therapy works.

Sorry I forgot the rest of the questions on your post then saw them again and idk how to edit but yeah I've liked all my primaries, I loved my mental health providers they helped me for free while I was homeless and still help me for free now that I am disabled recieving benefits and the biggest boost besides all the focus on me I got was getting a nutritionist assigned to me as part of amerigroup coverage which is very holistic

The combo im on works really good, it's latuda and bupropion, I got a bunch of supplements over the years and went all out recently changed my diet and set a schedule for everything but it took getting disabled to free up everything to give it all I got to beat this, I plan on losing enough to where I don't need a cpap anymore , they took me off olanzapine months ago I was gaining weight on it now im much better on the latuda, the supplements that worked most for me were Irish sea moss, prevagen, lions mane, coq10,lysine, omega 3, vitamin d, panax ginseng and ginko. I didn't take all the supplements at once I did combos of them for months then switched to the others for months. The omegas and vitamin d were prescribed, they helped alot

a lot of primary care providers may only start you on a low dose of psychiatric medication and feel uncomfortable increasing your dose because they don’t specialize in that area but they can be a useful resource in finding a psychiatrist. combing psychiatry with therapy is the most effective way to treat mental illness

@blowfly , I’m sorry to hear that! No, I haven’t had any problems with lexapro…when I was on Zoloft years ago I was nauseous constantly
