I'm so sorry to hear that - that's outrageous! Would a copy of recent medical records suffice at all? Surely in the notes they'll have mentioned these symptoms you've shared during your appts?

Why won’t your MD write you a note? Can you go to a different doctor? An Urgent Care centre may be able to give you a note for IBS if you go get seen by them.
I agree with you: the work environment in the US is atrocious. I’m sorry you’re being treated this way; you don’t deserve it.
