Anyone have a dexcom g6 and a t:slim X2 pump? I’ve never had a pump but I have a dexcom and my endocrinologist wants me to try out the slim…what do you love/hate about it? And any tips for a newbie to a pump?

I have a dexcom and the t:slim X2! I really love the slim! I hardly have to do a thing. The two communicate with one another and I have to push a few buttons to enter the carbs I'm eating in order for the insulin to be released. It is a lot less work compared to injecting insulin. Having a tube connected to my body all the time is hardly a big deal, but sometimes it does get caught so you just have to be mindful that it is tucked into a pocket so it doesn't get caught or tugged on! Feel free to message me directly if you have any questions! I definitely recommend it and truly love having a slim!

I don’t know much about the slim x2, but I do know in general one thing they might not tell you is that your likelihood for DKA goes up when you use a pump since there is no long acting insulin. If you’re managing your diabetes you shouldn’t have to worry about that tho unless a malfunction happens. So just make sure you’re watching your sugars more!
