Women with IBD: Does anyone’s symptoms actually get better with their period? I have regular GI bleeding (docs don’t seem to care to figure out why) but it never/extremely rarely happens at the same time as my period. If anything it will stop a couple days before and restart right at the end. Has anyone else noticed a pattern like this?

I am also the opposite of you my symptoms get way worse around the time of my period, but that does not discredit your feelings and the way your body works💕

My periods result in heavy cramping in the lower abdomen and occasionally extreme back pain. Keep note of the bleeding

So in my teens before my diagnosis of IBD, my period was 10xs worse! Now it’s pretty mild but still makes my POTS crazy
I experience the opposite as well! Might be good to get a second opinion on the bleeding if your doc isn’t investigating it.
I actually experience the opposite. Every-time I have my period it becomes way worse, inflaming everything in my lower abdomen.
