none of my friends are in my classes this year and i struggle with making friends. every time someone looks at me i feel like their judging me and its only the first day of school. i feel like everyone already hates me even though im going to a new school. not only am i anxious about that but i also dont want to even be at school. it puts so much stress on me and i can barely deal with it.

its my freshman year and i'm going through the same. ive started putting more energy into myself instead of others at school to help me. i push myself to do the work now, instead of how before i would sit in silence with my head down, high. while doing that, i've noticed few people dealing with the same thing, have started trying to approach me or even just make eye contact and smile if they are also anxious. let me know if you find anything else that helps you out but this has been an improvement for me and my mindset

I’m actually going through the same thing. Freshman year is going to be difficult but just try and remember that you aren’t alone and focus on yourself and staying true to who you are :)

I had tons of anxiety in school. I found that after a few weeks or so even a month, into the school year, things got easier, found my group of friends slowly. And tried to say Hi to others I saw were shy and sorta was by themselves. Became friends with em. Also alot of others kids feel the same way, every one has a little bit different way of dealing with it. Even the most out going person could be the most insecure and anxious.

bro.. don’t get me started. i’m a senior now and me and my boyfriend are going through a breakup. i have two friends. my boyfriends in 5 of my classes. my friends are in 2 of the same classes. it’s a real struggle.

I think its definitely difficult when it's the new school year and new school too, it's a lot to get used to. school sucks and people suck too sometimes, you probably already do this but why not listen to some music while in school? you could also try putting on some while you get ready for school? if you're near your school or get there early, maybe take a bit of a walk, take deep breaths. eat a nice snack, something you like to drink, maybe when you get home you can take a nice bath or shower, maybe even a face mask or something. try something to help soothe you before and after, it really doesn't have to be something big, but it might help you calm down a bit?
