TW: mention of SH I relapsed on self harm after like 4 months clean and idk if I should tell my boyfriend or not. We’ve only been together 3 months so he’s seen my scars but nothing fresh. Do you think it would be better to just tell him rather than have him find out himself by seeing it?

I believe you should tell him. If he won't support you in your pain then he's no good for you anyways

I was in a situation similar to you when my relationship was first beginning. I told him about the new self harm because I knew he would see them and I wanted to have the control of telling him myself.
