hi, my name is kiwi, or kieth :] i’ve been diagnosed with clinical depression, and i think i have been struggling a lot, especially with doing basic every day tasks and chores. i have school work piling up.. and it tends to get very stressful. does anyone have any ideas of how to cope with lack of energy and motivation, etc.? and just. depression symptoms in general? :( honestly it’s getting so bad that i’m starting to think “if i was put into a mental institution, then i wouldn’t have to worry about all this stuff”. which is probably not a healthy mindset :(

i was in the same exact place last year when i failed my entire junior year of high school. i think what really helped me was finding other people who can relate, which you've already done, so yay!!!! next though, i tried to split the work into smaller chunks, like seriously maybe just one small assignment every couple hours, and increase it more and more. as for coping with lack of energy and motivation, personally something that helped me was making a small to do list every morning so i had to hold myself accountable of doing at least most of the tasks for the day. i tried to start my day on a good note and listen to music and get myself happy before doing any chores/school work. i know this doesn't work for everybody, but i hope it helps you a bit!! ^_^ i'm rooting for you, you are not alone and this WILL pass!!!!
