15 Years with ADHD: My Journey to Finding the Right Treatment

I can’t believe I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD for 15 whole years!! (I’m 21) My 1st grade teacher really said “I’m not a doctor but this girl can’t pay attention or shut up for one second, you might wanna get her like… some help” And since then I’ve tried a hundred treatments and medications, finally landed on Adderall XR, and now I can focus on a task for up to 60 minutes at a time 😂 not quite long enough for college classes but I’ll take what I can get

I got diagnosed at 8, I'm now 46, and never been offered medications. Could I ask my GP ?

I've only been on Vyvanse for a few weeks now but it is working a lot better than Adderall XR ever did!

Man I miss Adderal cx I built up a tolerance so my dr prematurely switched me to ritalin and it fried my brain like an egg so no medication has worked since

Felt that. I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 13 (21 now) but college was rough even with meds. But it’s doable at least lol
