HELP, please...in my 11th month (as of April, 2022) with BELL'S PALSY. Still having numbness & heavy dense droopy FEELING in right side of face, watering eye. Affected eye is now smaller than left eye. SYNKINESIS started in my 9th month which is this: when I raise my eyebrows, eye get even samaller & when I open my mouth wide, eye gets even aller AND when I drink using a STRAW, eye CLOSES. VISION, especially when reading, is poor. Months of WEEKLY ACUPUNCTURE & Chinese herbs HAVE NOT HELPED.... $100 each time + her Chinese herbs. WEEKLY FACIAL CUPPING (by esthetician) have not helped...$40 each time. Recently started taking LION' S MANE TINCTURE from a company in Dallas, TX. Also, taking many supplements including B-12 tablets. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU DID/DOING THAT HELPED YOU.

I’m currently working with a new doctor and she’s using Botox for the treatment. I’ve had bells since 2017. Pain, tightness and synkinesis never fully recovered but the Botox helps.

I have had a gold weight put in my right eyelid to weigh it down due to the scarring

All that sounds familiar with me and drooling. Don’t look down and try to chew food

I have had right facial paralysis for 13 years now. Was getting better after brain surgery but it went south when I got bacterial meningitis

I had it 3 times and all three times I went to the doctor and he put me on a steroids right away. Had to massage my face daily and keep the affected eye covered with a patch

@BB55 ,I went to hospital ER a few hours after waking up with facial paralysis. They ruled out stroke & gave me only 7 days of PREDNISONE & VALTREX, eye patch & a tiny tube of gel to put in my eye as it would not close.

@Beej I don’t know what else to tell you. My heart goes out to you to have to deal with this mess for such a long time. Anyone that has had it can tell you that it is miserable
