I wish it was more acceptable to have your comfort items in public!!! My baby blanket is one of my comfort items and I desperately want to bring it everywhere with me, but I know that it is not socially acceptable. I also get embarrassed about holding it in front of my partner :( tell me about your comfort items!! my baby blanket originally was just a scrap piece of fabric that little baby me got my hands on, and it has been my favourite ever since. It is technically fleece, but it’s so matted down that I am not sure that it could be considered fleece anymore. It’s one of my favourite textures, it instantly calms me.

I have a fox plushie that goes almost everywhere with me but I don't bring him into many places such as libraries, cafes...or funerals. He's always in the car if I need him, though. His name is Kurama. 🥰 I also can't sleep without him.

mine is a small white and black cow, he is named grazer. he used to have more shape but the stuffing in him has been squished down by years of cuddles. so now he slouches over when you try to sit him up.

I have a hat I got from my dad when I was younger so I don't really have a problem with hiding it but I think if you put it in a bag or a backpack or something you could carry it around and if you go eat somewhere you could take it out and wear it

You could also try cutting a small piece of it off or find a fabric that's similar and put it in your pocket and it'll be so small no one will notice

I have a baby blanket and a Dolly with a music box from when I was younger that is comfort In physical form. For a while I lost them thou, and for that chunk of my life I unconsciously replaced them with a stuffed shark I named Karkat ^^ don't be afraid to bring your comfort items with you! Anyone who cares that your holding a blanket in public doesn't really care about you, I promise.

I don't have a comfort object but I do suck my thumb all the time as a source of comfort and I've just gotten used to being stared at
