Yelled at for Being Dissociated

That sounds like you're hanging around some people who don't understand what you're going through. Have you tried to explain to them what dissociation is and tell them that sometimes they won't be able to get your attention right away?

No... I don't.. when I come back too I say "I totally zoned out, sorry." My friends say, "oh I get it, I was saying..." If someone acted like that to me I'd walk away I'd first tell them I don't appreciate it because ignorance doesn't equal heartlessness. If it continued or went unvalidated I'd peace out. Healthy boundaries are hard to place but essential to a happy life.

I've told them I "zone out" sometimes and I don't think they really care or think I'm doing it on purpose so yeah I think I just need some better friends
