So anyone take a break from work or something like it for a few weeks & feel anxious about going back? Especially after a big mess up that caused a write up & you're afraid to let anyone down again? I just don't want to let anyone down. Or worse get fired. I love my job I just got burnt-out. My mom says to focus on the positive & not the negative or future possibilities. But my brain doesn't work like that

Yes. I get anxious everyday even when I come back from a normal break at work, but it's worse for me on Mondays ( I'm fortunate enough to have weekends off) to the point that I throw up every Monday. Also if I have a PTO day, it's really bad. Even though I'm not responsible for my client when I'm not at work, I feel responsible if there is a mess up while I'm out. I feel like I should have been at work because if I had been at work it wouldn't have happened.

Yup. I’m on vacation now and worried that whoever is doing my job is giving a halfhearted effort or if anyone is doing it at all. But I know I deserve my time off so I’m telling myself that

Yes! I am so nervous going in after a single day call in. Much less several days. I loved my job, and it's still not bad, but I hate going there every single day.

Absolutely. But I think it’s normal to have these feelings. Unfortunately bad feelings coincide with good feelings. I dread going to work everyday and I work from home lol I think it’s having to interact with people in general I just don’t have it in me. The first step is the hardest. I feel like after you go back you may feel a bit differently and not sike yourself out as much. I’m rooting for you
