Why am I avoiding my partner so much?

i can explain more if needed, but I've been dating my partner for about 5 months now and she is wonderful. Recently, I was kicked out by my roommates, so I am living with her until I find a new place. The situation has left me extremely depressed, and it's been hard to socialize with anyone. I'm usually a quiet guy, but I am barely talking rn and haven't found a good motivation to be social. My partner is very supportive, but lately her own stresses have been adding to the mix. I enjoy spending time with her, but I haven't been talking as much. i still try to be around her, like cuddling her on the couch and sitting near her while she does things. She is feeling like I don't give her enough attention, and I feel guilty for being emotionally unavailable. I'm having a hard time understanding why I am reacting like this. Anyone have any advice?

Not sure but could be the fact that you had your own place, even if with roommates, it was still your own space. Maybe you feel like this new living situation is suffocating and in a weird way you want your own space to breathe but you’re being forced to be “that” person 24/7 and it’s draining your energy? I think the best thing you could do is be honest with your partner and tell them that I need to get used to this and see things differently. Have you ever lived with a partner before?
