My first post ☺ Hoping to get some insight on thus current symptom that's the most frustrating/distressing. I keep having dreams where I am suffocating. Can not breathe. My chest feels like it is going to explode and I can not get a breath in and then I wake up gasping. I am NOT a fan. Any clue how to help that? Do you experience it? *I don't think I snore and I have never had a sleep study. I also have a history of sleep walking but I haven't experienced that in a few years.

The gasping for air sounds like sleep apnea, which they think is actually a common cause of fibromyalgia bc you’re constantly lightly waking up when you stop breathing so you’re nervous system isn’t actually getting rest. I’d recommend seeing a sleep specialist! Best of luck 💕

I would definitely look into getting a sleep study done, especially as you are gasping for air! Super common to have sleep disorders and interruptions with EDS. I’m so sorry you’re going through that and I hope you get the help you need soon! 😊

@EDSzebra thank you so much. I didn't want to jump to a sleep study without good reason. I appreciate your response❤️
