Struggling with Doctor's Medication Recommendations

I have a doctor that is refusing to prescribed me the medications my consultant recommended until I can prove I've tried yoga and it doesn't help. I struggle woth yoga due to my POTS and don't really have time to do on top of my other physiotherapy. any advice for dealing with difficult doctors and trying to get across just how much pain I am in?
