hi!! i’ve had the condition 6 times in the past couple years

Hello, my son experienced severe rhabdomyolysis that almost took his life, he was in PICU due to multi organ failures after a cardiac arrest - it caused kidneys failure, but with specialised treatment he did recover. The pain he experienced was so severe as was his muscle breakdown, he was bedridden and in a wheelchair for weeks and required alot of physical therapy to recover. I have read that recurrent forms of Rhabdomyolysis are often genetic in nature. Sydygorl - I highly recommend being referred to a geneticist/genetic counselor for assessment.
