Why is it that when someone in my life dies… my brain says “Oh! They’re not dead!” Even if they are literally right in front of me. I do cry at funerals bc I am aware I’ll never see them again… but my mind doesn’t process death at all… Does anyone know why? It really makes some of my family members upset bc I’m not reacting like I should be. Am I crazy?

I struggle with this too, it's not an uncommon thing I promise. Everyone processes things differently & sometimes it's hard to get started when there's something in the way.
