I’ve started getting panic attacks again and the most common symptom I’ve noticed after the fact is anger. I get so mad at myself for not being able to stop crying, for not being able to just do my job, for not being able to just breathe. I don’t know what to do, I haven’t found any way to stop an attack except to wait it out or power through, and that can be dangerous. I’ve snapped at people for the smallest things because I’m just internally dying

Channel your anger. Hit a pillow, take up boxing, or throw a rock. Anything to physically get out that energy, that's not directed at people. In a panic episode I hate when people talk to me. Remove yourself from people, doesn't have to be long, just a break. Fidget toys may also help. Never too old for a fidget :)

I get this. what happens for me with my panic attacks is that I I have a cycle of emotions, ex: panic, sobbing, laughing at the ridiculousness of the breakdown, panic, anger, etc.... one of the biggest things for me is just stepping away to be alone (or with a friend that helps comfort you) so you don't have to worry about snapping at someone
we get it! it's super tough. just remember not to be too hard on yourself. it's not a controllable thing.
@Beeble I have mostly really understanding people in my life who are willing to help, but my self deprecating gets really loud when I’m panicking
