does alcoholism related peripheral neuropathy advance like diabetic neuropathy? I have alcoholism related neuropathy and am wondering the best way to manage it. I have been sober for a year and a half.

      It doesn't typically, but ANY alcohol will make it worse and cause additional permanent damage. It may also flare your symptoms. Sadly, you can mainly just treat/manage symptoms, not the cause, besides abstinence from alcohol.
